Among the political parties, UKIP have a uniquely good story to tell about energy bills.
Alone among the main parties, UKIP reject the nonsense that carbon dioxide was the main driver of that global warming which stopped seventeen years ago. So UKIP can reject all the green subsidies bumping up energy bills.
Down go energy bills.
Also alone among the main parties, UKIP reject restrictive EU policies on energy. No more decarbonising targets (which oddly don't seem to apply to Germany), no more enforced closures of efficient power generation plants, no EU restictions on drilling in shale for oil and gas.
Down go energy bills again.
UKIP could also adopt transparent pricing of energy bills, as seen in much of the USA. With more transparency, enegy bills might well fall further.
UKIP should be out banging the drum for a real cheaper energy strategy, which is well within their grasp. UKIP has a uniquly good proposition on the cost of energy.
So why are UKIP keeping so quiet about energy bills?
