What the EU have we got ourselves into?

Greek unemployment has risen to a new record. 56% of 15-24 year olds are without a job.

Just to help Greece's economically important tourist industry, there are tales of tourists being held by Greek police as illegal migrants, and sometimes beaten.

Meanwhile, the bailout for banks in Cyprus is coming into question among German MPs. Why? Angela Merkel is demanding assets sales by the government but the Cypriot president opposes them.

There is also concern that a large slice of any aid deal could go to Russians who have laundered money through Cyprus. The Opposition SPD chairman said it was inconceivable that German taxpayers would "save Cypriot banks whose business model is based on facilitating tax evasion".

Interesting comments from Juncker of late. Question of time.
