Stop kowtowing to policies that don't suit us

James Forsyth runs a post on why the government should clamp down on health tourism, as if that was controversial, but it does come in the light of the Daily Mail story claiming that
New guidelines tell doctors across England they must register any foreign patient who asks for care otherwise it would be ‘discriminatory’.
As a Tory backbencher, says, "we cannot have the NHS, paid for by taxpayers, being abused by people who pay nothing into the system and who are not eligible for free care".

Yes, yes. And what about the EU policy that people shouldn't have to satisfy residency requirements in the UK before being entitled to welfare benefits?

The UK needs its own sovereignty on human rights - claiming discretion back from Europe and from unaccountable judges.

And we should ignore EC policies we don't agree with. Let's not be too careful over this. Stop kowtowing. Let the chips fall where they may.
