No SNP on election debates, thanks

Most questions concern the UK as a whole. Topics affecting only England cover 84% of the UK's population. Add the Welsh for issues affecting England and Wales, and we get up to 89%.

Do we want a fourth podium for one Scottish party covering a mere 8.5% of our population? No. It would be a distortion.

Subject to roundings, the population proportions are

England - 84%

Scotland - 8.5%

Wales - 5%

the ridiculously expensive Northern Ireland - 1.6%

Hi,

additionally the leader of the SNP represents only a minority of the people of Scotland - the majority are represented by British parties.

The self interest group in Wales is even smaller and even less representative.

John,

Yet another example of the ill-thought out Devolution Bill. You cannot create 'self-governing' regions and then refuse them a voice in national matters.

It is surprising that Scotland would like to join the EU as a separate region where they would have exactly the same situation that they say they now face within the UK.

I would have thought 'better the devil you know'........?

The answer has to be to leave the EU and grant devolution on all 'local' matters to each local authority, give them tax raising powers and leave all 'national' matters (foreign affairs etc) to Westminster.

Easy solution - don't broadcast in Wales and Scotland, half the issues the LibLabCons will be discussing will have no relevance to voters there.

Even easier solution - independence for Wales and Scotland. This is a marriage that is way past it's divorce date.
