The Telegraph reports (but not on its website) that a woman has been charged with claiming up to £75,000 in child tax credits for 16 non-existent children.She is alleged to have realised she did not have to send her "children's" birth certificates to tax officials.
Why not?
And how could it reach anywhere near £75,000 before anyone rumbled it?
