Roger Knapman on The World at One

The substance of the allegations against Tom Wise didn't really arise during the interview, but let's not forget about the car (see below).

Knapman managed to criticise in public both the chairman and the leader, confirming what a nasty piece of work he is. He called for the chairman to resign, and said he wished Nigel Farage was as good off television as he is on it.

He said the suspension should go before "the party at large" rather than be decided by MEPs. This is bunkum. He seemed to mean the NEC, which as he well knows is rigidly controlled by the MEPs who are on it.

A nasty, mean, wholly unconvincing performance.
